Paragliding introduction: Paragliding is one of the most famous and attractive activities in Pokhara. A professional instructor accompanied a traveler as he took off from the hillside to enjoy the scenery of Phewa Lake and snow-capped mountains from the air. The control is completed by the instructor, and travelers only need to enjoy the flying experience with the breeze on their faces. There are currently nearly 20 paragliding clubs in Pokhara. The take-off locations of each club are mostly concentrated on the Sarangko Mountain at an altitude of 1,592 meters, and the landing locations are in the area along the north side of the lake in the lakeside area.
The Nepal Flying Association (NAA) has required all clubs to implement unified gliding prices since December 2012. As of December 2012, the price for half an hour is about 7,500 rupees, and the price for one hour is about 11,000 rupees. 13 % services and taxes are not strictly enforced. The regular ticket price includes insurance, and the insured amount is about US$20,000.
Coaches will use outdoor sports-specific cameras to provide photo and video services for passengers, which usually need to be purchased before flying. At present, except for a few clubs, most photo and video services are priced at 1,700 rupees. Passengers can get a CD after the flight, or they can also bring an extra copy of their own USB flash drive. The number of photos depends on the club and instructor, as well as weather and gliding time. After the unified price is implemented, in principle, you can get the best price and get more relevant information by going directly to the club to book. During the peak season, it is best to book one or two days in advance. The service content of each club is the same, but the difference in cost-effectiveness is reflected in the details: the nationality and experience of the coaches (most are from Europe and the United States, and a small number are Nepalese), the number of photos provided, etc.
