Introduction to Florian Gate: Florian Gate is a famous Gothic tower and one of the landmark buildings in Krakow's Old Town. The city gate was built in the 14th century as part of the defense system established in 1241. It is named after Saint Florian and is the main access into and out of the old city. The tower of the city gate is 33.5 meters high and has a Baroque-style spire. The south side of the city gate is decorated with an 18th-century bas-relief of Saint Florian, the north side has a stone eagle, and there is a post-Baroque altar inside the city gate.
