Introduction to the red light district: There are 25 brothels in the small Pompeii city. The most formal brothel is located in a relatively dense middle- and lower-class residential area east of the city center. There are 10 rooms upstairs and downstairs in the brothel. There is a portrait of Priapus, the god of obscenity, at the entrance to illustrate the function of this place. There are sex murals with different contents painted on the door of each room, and the interior walls are full of various pictures and texts left by customers.
