Introduction to St. Nicholas Church: St. Nicholas Church (Kostel St. Mikulase) is located on the northwest side of Prague’s Old Town Square. Its appearance is a Baroque building rebuilt in the 18th century, with white walls and bronze spires. In contrast, before the completion of Tyne Church in the 12th to 14th centuries, this was the main church gathering place in the old city. Through the changes of the times, during the First World War, the army was stationed here, and artists who were not on the battlefield were commissioned to rebuild the church. The solemn dome murals were all works from this period, and concerts were often held.
