Introduction to the four major continents: The four major continents are built in the east, west, south and north of the Mahayana Pavilion. They are all in the Taidian style. Most of the buildings on the platform have single-eaves verandah roofs. The one in the east is called Dongsheng Shenzhou, and its pedestal is moon-shaped; the one in the west is called Xiniuhezhou, and its pedestal is in the shape of an oval; the one in the south is called Nanzhanbuzhou, which is trapezoidal, so it is also called the Trapezoid Hall; the one in the north is called the Trapezium Hall. It is called Beijuluzhou, and its shape is a square pavilion.
