Introduction to the Four Archways: The Four Archways were built in the first year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty. It was erected by the local government at that time to commend Hou Chun and Hou Ying, father and son, famous officials from Puyang. The four archways stand high at the corners, and the top is inlaid with auspicious animals. There are four tripods on the four sides, with inscriptions on the remaining capital of Zhuanxu, the old county of Chanyuan, the guarantee of Heshuo, and the key to the north gate.
