Liping meeting introduction: On December 18, 1934, the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee held a meeting in Liping and determined the strategic decision to transfer troops to Guizhou. Mao Zedong’s correct opinions were finally adopted by the Party Central Committee, avoiding a tight siege. The danger caused the Red Army to seize the initiative. The Liping Conference was the key to the decisive strategic change since the Long March and made important preparations for the Zunyi Conference.
