Introduction to the dry tree trunks of Shangganling: The dry tree trunks of Shangganling were a gift from the Korean People’s Army delegation to our East China Sea Fleet. In October 1952, the US military launched a fierce attack on Shangganling where our volunteers were holding, and the battle was extremely fierce. The U.S. artillery shells and aircraft bombs lowered Shangganling by two meters, but they were still unable to break through the volunteers' steel positions. This dead tree trunk from Shangganling is only 38 centimeters long, but is embedded with 35 pieces of shrapnel, reflecting the extreme cruelty of the battle at that time.
