Introduction to May Fourth Square: May Fourth Square is adjacent to the Qingdao Municipal Government Office Building in the north and Fushan Bay in the south, covering a total area of 10 hectares. Qingdao was named because it was the trigger for the great May Fourth Movement in modern Chinese history. It is intended to carry forward the patriotic spirit of the May Fourth Movement and inspire people to work hard and welcome the arrival of the new century. May 4th Square is divided into two parts, the north and the south. The municipal government office buildings, hidden fountains, dot matrix fountains, "Wind of May" sculptures, and the 100-meter fountain on the sea are distributed on the central axis, rhythmically showing solemnity, solidity, and vitality. The magnificent scenery upwards glows with a unique look against the backdrop of the large area of landscape forest.
