The simple wooden railings, wooden columns and brick-red tile roof are slightly retro, giving people a sense of being out of date. But this small pavilion has an extraordinary history. It is reported that Chairman Mao Zedong saw the spacious and comfortable pergola when he came to Erba for swimming, and decided to hold the Political Bureau meeting of the CPC Central Committee here. Now, decades have passed, and the pavilion has been repaired many times, but it still remains the same, seeming to tell the story of that time.
