Introduction to Wenchang Palace: Wenchang Palace is dedicated to the "Wenchang Emperor". According to legend, he is the patron saint of ancient Chinese students who learn, write, and take imperial examinations. He has a high status in the Taoist theology. Because "the elite of writers gather together, and the prosperous ones make the world famous", it is called Wenchang Palace.
Wenchang Palace was first built in the Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty (714 AD) and has been destroyed and rebuilt several times. Today's Wenchang Palace was first built in 1987, and the main hall was added in 1995. It houses the Wenchang Emperor who was in charge of articles and orders, Cangjie who created Chinese characters, and Kuixing Pavilion, which is "the most powerful star in the world". There are also statues of Sun Simiao, the king of medicine, and Marshal Zhao Gong, the god of wealth. The newly built underground palace is called the Ten Halls of Hell, which means there is heaven above and hell below. Wenchang Palace has a quiet and comfortable dining room. When you open the window and look out into the distance, you can see the vast sea and sky, the lakes and mountains, the fishing boats dotted there, and the beautiful scenery of Qionghai. There are also guest rooms here for tourists to stay. Living in an ancient temple deep in the mountains, looking at the lights of Yuecheng in the distance and listening to the sound of pines and waves in Lushan Mountain is an elegant part of the trip.
