Introduction to the Earthquake Stele Forest: The Xichang Earthquake Stele Forest, together with the Xi'an Stele Forest in Shaanxi, the Confucius Temple Stele Forest in Qufu, Shandong, and the South Gate Stele Forest in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, are also known as the four major Stele Forests in China. The inscriptions collected in the Xichang Earthquake Stele Forest are mainly divided into two categories: narratives and tombstones, which reflect the historical facts of the three major earthquakes in Xichang.
