Introduction to the monument of the deceased saints: The monument of the deceased saints can be said to be a priceless treasure of the Confucius Temple of the Southern Sect. It was created by Wu Daozi, a painter of the Tang Dynasty. The stele is 2.07 meters high and 0.85 meters wide. On the stele are engraved the sixteen words "Virtue matches heaven and earth, Taoism is the best in ancient and modern times, the Six Classics are abridged, and the constitution will last forever". On the back is also engraved a diagram of "Edict to build the Confucius Family Temple in Quzhou". . According to legend, this stele was brought from Qufu by Kong Duanyou, the 48th generation grandson of Confucius, when he was traveling south. It has extremely high research value.
