Introduction to Herastrau: Herastrau Park (Herastrau), also known as Carol II National Park, is located next to the lake. It was once a swamp and was opened as a park in 1936. The park covers an area of 110 hectares and the lake area is 74 hectares. The park is full of exotic pines and cypresses, and the trees cover the sky and the sun. It is lush and green. It is the largest park in Bucharest.
