Introduction to the Orthodox Church: The Romanian Orthodox Church is an apostolic church founded on the basis of the four Gospels preached by the Apostle Andrew. On April 27, 1885, the Romanian Orthodox Church became an autonomous church. The Church elevated itself to the patriarchal hierarchy on February 25, 1925, that is, sharing doctrinal and liturgical canonical relations with its sister Orthodox Churches.
