Introduction to the Republic Square: The Republic Square (Piazza della Repubblica) is fondly called "Piazza Esedra" by the Romans, which means semicircular square. It is part of the ruins of Diocletian's Baths and is located next to Rome's Central Station. Two fan-shaped ancient buildings on the square surround a fairy fountain, and next to it is the Basilica of Our Lady of Angels and Martyrs.
