Introduction to St. Paul's Church in the city: St. Paul's Church in the city (San Paolo dentro le Mura) was built from 1873 to 1880. It is a Gothic building and belongs to the American Episcopal Church. The church has three halls. The apse is a mosaic showing scenes from the Book of Revelation. What is very strange is that some of the ancient saints have faces from the 19th century: St. Andrew has the face of Abraham Lincoln, and St. James has the face of Abraham Lincoln. With the face of Giuseppe Garibaldi, St. Patrick has the face of General Grant, the star of the American Civil War. (Opening hours 9:30-16:30)
