Introduction to the Statue of Deng Shichang: The Statue of Deng Shichang is located in the Temple of the First Emperor in Chengshantou. The Battle of the Yellow Sea during the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1899, which shocked China and foreign countries, took place on the sea 10 nautical miles east of Chengshantou. Deng Shichang, the patriotic general of the Beiyang Navy, died here. Emperor Guangxu bestowed an inscription on the stele with the posthumous title "Zhuang Jie" and the stele of Deng is still preserved in the Temple of the First Emperor.
