Introduction to Andaihou, the Red Ancient Village: In the lush forest sea in the southwest of Songyang, there is an inconspicuous village dotted, which is Andaihou Village, the Red Ancient Village. A mountain stream flows through the village, with the stream as the axis, and small bridges on both sides of the river communicating. Houses are built opposite each other, and the pattern of rows of houses clustered together makes it appear harmonious and beautiful. The cobblestone path along the stream is a gathering center for villagers to talk about national and family affairs, exchange emotions, and sing music for leisure. The old trees hugging each other, the bridge with a rainbow covered house, and the big house with horse head and white walls give the whole village a hint of antiquity. This is like a wonderful landscape painting with "small bridges, flowing water, and people" in the south of the Yangtze River.
In 1935, the Andai Queen was shrouded in haze and dark clouds were overwhelming. In the season when azaleas were in full bloom that year, Su Yu, Liu Ying, and Huang Fuwu led the Red Army to the village to realize their ideals and doctrines and create a base area in southwestern Zhejiang. Soon, the Soviet government and party organizations at all levels were established in Song (Yang) Su (Chang) Long (Quan) Yun (He), and the Red Army Division Headquarters, Southwest Zhejiang Special Committee, Military Division, and Guerrilla Corps Headquarters were moved to the village to set up camp. Since then, Andaihou has become a veritable center of the guerrilla base area in southwestern Zhejiang. The fire behind Andai illuminated the entire southwestern Zhejiang Province. It is also known as "Little Jinggang" and "Second Ciping".
