Introduction to Tabin Wildlife Reserve: Tabin Wildlife Reserve is located on the Dent Peninsula, 50 kilometers northeast of Lahad Datu, covering an area of 120,500 hectares. Visitors in the park have the opportunity to see the three largest mammals in Sabah: Borneo PygmyElephant, Sumatran Rhinoceros and Tembadau (a type of bison). There are also a variety of other wild animals. Swimming in the refreshing Ripad River at dusk (some sections of the river are quite deep, so be very careful), or rolling in the mud at the Ripad Volcanic Mud vent, are also rare activities to enjoy.
