Introduction to Boas Volcano: Boas Volcano is located in the northwest of the Central Valley, 57 kilometers away from San Jose. It erupted for the first time in 1910 and erupted several times intermittently from 1952 to 1954. There are two lakes in the crater with a diameter of 1,600 meters at the top of the volcano: the upper lake is clear and translucent, surrounded by various green plants: the lower lake has high acid content.
