Introduction to Chariots, Horses and Xiaos: The exhibition hall displays the chariot and horse pits buried with the tomb of the monarch Guo Ji, Guo Ji’s wife Liang Ji and the prince’s tomb. Among them, the chariot and horse pit buried with Guo Ji’s tomb contains 13 funeral chariots, 64 horses and 6 dogs. Only, Liang Ji was buried with 19 chariots and horses. These three chariot and horse pits are large in scale, high level, and well-preserved, which are rare in China. They are arranged in marching columns from south to north, opening up the Israeli army. It was the first of its kind to be buried with real chariots and horses, and constituted the earliest and largest underground chariot and horse formation in my country in which real chariots and horses were buried.
