Introduction to St. Paul's Cathedral: St. Paul's Cathedral was built in 1913 and was not completed until 1954. It was opened to the public that year as an event to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city. Its predecessor was a colonial-era cathedral. The entire project was designed and built by architect Maximiliano, combining Gothic and Renaissance styles. Inside the church there is an Italian pipe organ with up to 10,000 sound pipes and a large set of bells containing 65 small bells. The underground tomb contains the coffins of celebrities including former Indian chiefs. The square in front of the church has been the starting point for every grand religious procession since the 16th century. The "zero starting point" in the center is the starting point for measuring the distance between St. Paul and other cities.
