Introduction to the Arc de Triomphe: The highest point of the Royal Garden is the Arc de Triomphe (Gloriette) located on the top of the mountain. It was designed by Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf, a representative of early Austrian classicism and architect. Built by von Hohenberg in 1765, the Arc de Triomphe is visually closely integrated with the palace gardens to commemorate the just war that brought peace.
