Capernaum introduction: Capernaum is a Christian holy land and the place where Jesus first publicly preached. Jesus called this place “his city.” After Jesus left Nazareth, he used this as a base to continuously radiate his missionary scope to the surrounding areas of Galilee, gradually laying a foundation. Therefore, Capernaum is known as the second hometown of Jesus. Many miracles and important things happened here. For example, Jesus changed water into wine; Jesus called four disciples; Jesus healed the sick and cast out demons; Jesus called Matthew; Jesus appointed 12 disciples; Jesus took silver from the mouth of a fish to pay taxes, etc. The ruins of Capernaum are divided into three parts, the ruins of the synagogue, the ruins of the Octagonal Synagogue and the ruins of the urban houses of Capernaum.
