Introduction to the ancient ship: In the winter of 1986, brothers Moshe and Yufaele from Kibbutz Kinousar discovered an ancient wooden ship on the shores of the Lake of Galilee. In the anoxic environment buried deep in the mud, the ancient ship did not rot, but it was extremely fragile. After 12 days of hard work, experts from all parties used fiberglass, foam plastic and other materials to reinforce the boat and bring it to the surface. After another 14 years of treatment, it was soaked in polyethylene glycol to replace the water in the ancient wood and restore the ancient ship. Now on display at the Galilee Fishing Boat Museum.
