Introduction to the sixty-one Wang Bin statues: The 61 stone statues arranged in the east and west buildings of the inner city were carved by Wu Zetian in order to commemorate the minority leaders and foreign envoys who attended Gaozong's funeral. The 61 guest statues are a symbol of the magnificent history of Sino-foreign exchanges in the Tang Dynasty. They are also a major feature of the Qianling Mausoleum stone carving art that highlights Sino-foreign relations.
