Robe introduction: Although nearly 30 tomb-robbing caves were discovered during the excavation, many precious items were still unearthed during the later rescue excavations. Among them, a bamboo basket was found under the floor of one tomb chamber, containing a silk robe from the Han Dynasty sewn with jade. The robe is basically well preserved, it is purple in color and has red patterns on it. This burial method is discovered for the first time in China. Archaeologists have preliminarily determined that this silk fabric is female clothing, and they can basically determine that the owner of the Dingtao Tomb is Empress Dowager Ding, the mother of Emperor Ai of the Western Han Dynasty. The unearthing of this silk fabric not only provides important physical information for the study of Han Dynasty clothing, but also provides important information for the study of the burial system of Han Dynasty emperors.
