Introduction to the "Tao'an Liubi" monument: The "Taoan Liubi" monument is located on the Jiading campus of Shanghai University, on the former site of Xilin'an. In the second year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Qing soldiers besieged Jiading City. Jinshi Hou Tongzeng, Huang Chunyao and others organized rebels to defend the city. After the city was broken, Huang Chunyao and his younger brother Yuanyao rushed to Xilin Nunnery and wrote, "On July 4, the first year of Hongguang, Huang Chunyao committed suicide in the monk's house in the west city...". Later, the two brothers hanged themselves at the same time, spitting blood on the wall. Huang Chunyao's courtesy name was Tao'an, so later generations called this place "Tao'an Liubi". In 1962, the People's Government of Jiading County erected a monument at the former site of Xilin'an. It is made of white marble and is 1.70 meters high, 0.97 meters wide and 0.13 meters thick. Wu Yuzhang inscribed the four words "Tao'an Liubi" on the top of the stele, and Wu Yuzhang's seven-character poem "A Poetry with Feelings inscribed on Tao'an Liubi" was engraved on the back of the stele: "The rainbow is green and the blood is soaring to the sky, and the patriotic heroes have succeeded thousands."
