Introduction to the main hall: The main hall of the City God's Temple already existed during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. Zhang Shouyue, the magistrate of Shanghai at that time, converted the Jinshan Xing Temple, which was dedicated to Huo Guang, the god of Jinshan, into the main hall of the Shanghai City God's Temple. Huo Guang, the god of Jinshan, is still enshrined in the hall. It was burned by fire in 1924. Reconstruction began in 1926 and was completed in 1927. The main hall that exists now is the main hall of the City God Temple that was rebuilt in 1926. It is an antique main hall with a steel and cement structure. A plaque with the name "City God Temple" hangs on the main entrance of the main hall, accompanied by the couplet "Be a good person, have a good heart, a sound body, a peaceful soul, and a peaceful dream, and do some good deeds. Heaven knows the earth and the earth knows the ghosts and gods." The main hall is dedicated to the seated statue of General Huo Guang, the Lord of Bolu in the Han Dynasty, the god of Jinshan. On the left is the civil judge, on the right is the military judge, followed by the day inspection and night inspection, and below the day inspection and night inspection are the Bazaoli. The first pair of pillars hangs a couplet "The powerful spirit protects the country and supports the country, the holy way is wise and sends manna to save the people" to praise the achievements of the city god. There is a plaque hanging on it "Shepherd the common people". Hanging on the second pair of pillars are the couplets "If you are unkind and start a family, your offspring will inevitably be wasted; if you commit adultery and sin, how can you keep your wife and daughter pure?" to warn the world.
