Introduction to the fish warehouse: The collection of fish specimens in the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum can be traced back to the Aurora Museum founded in 1868 and the Asian Cultural Society founded in 1874. The earliest specimens in the existing collection are specimens. Currently, there are 9,456 fish specimens of 1,272 species (including subspecies) in our museum, accounting for approximately 43.9% of the number of fish species in China and approximately 6.36% of the world's fish species.
