Introduction to the Invertebrate Storehouse: Invertebrates are the animal group with the largest variety, largest number, and widest distribution in the world. The Shanghai Science and Technology Museum currently has 54 specimens of 13 species left over from the Aurora Museum, as well as a batch of parasite specimens made in 1933. Most of the existing specimens were collected, donated and exchanged after the founding of the People's Republic of China, totaling 44,555 specimens, involving 11 Phylum 29 classes 659 families 1433 species.
