Introduction to the Carved Flower Hall: The Carved Flower Hall is an ancient building built in the early Qing Dynasty by the descendant of Zhang Donghai, the magistrate of Nan'an in the Ming Dynasty and a famous figure in Songjiang. It is now a district-level cultural relic protection unit. The whole building has three entrances, two courtyards and four wings. It is a classical Jiangnan house with strict structure. The beams in the foyer are densely covered with relief sculptures of flowers and figures, which are very rare and precious. The front hall is carved with flowers and the back hall is carved with figures. It is a rare ancient building in the south of the Yangtze River with exquisite carvings.
