Introduction to the Wugui Pagoda Historical Relics Conservation Area: There is a beautiful legend about the Wugui Pagoda. One year, when the imperial examination was held to obtain scholars, five scholars who went to Beijing to take the examination and wanted to take a boat met here. The sky was getting dark, and there was no boat for a while, so we chatted on a huge rock by the river, and it was already dawn before we knew it. Although the five of them met for the first time, they had similar minds and agreed to come together again after going to Beijing to take the exam, regardless of whether they were successful or not. Later, God also worked hard, and all five of them were named on the Imperial List and won Jinshi. When we get together again, the friendship will naturally become deeper. So they jointly built a pagoda here, and one person planted a laurel tree on a nearby mountain, which is a metaphor for the toad palace's success and its reputation for future generations. Later generations called this pagoda "Wugui Pagoda" and the mountain "Wugui Mountain".
