Introduction to Gexian Temple: It is said that during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, local Xu Guangcheng came from Guixi by boat. Because the sun was setting and the sky was getting dark in the west, he anchored here. In the middle of the night, he heard a cock crow, but he didn’t know where the sound came from. Come. The next day, I got up early to climb the mountain to look for it. I saw dense forests, floating reed islands and no human habitation. I realized the aura of the mountain where the sound came from. I was so surprised that I called the mountain "Golden Rooster Mountain" and spread its spirit to the countryside. There is a feeling that "if the mountains are not high, there will be immortals, and if the water is not deep, there will be dragons." In this land of Jinji Mountain and Longtan, the descendants of the Xu family united with the local families with seven surnames: Liao, Lin, Gong, Huang, You, and Tang. In the 11th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, the Longtan Gexian Hall was built. However, the Gexian Palace in the late Qing Dynasty was destroyed by the Japanese war, and the current one was rebuilt in 2007.
