Introduction to Lu Xiufu's Tomb: Lu Xiufu's Tomb is located on the southern slope of Beiqingjingkou, Qing'ao Mountain, east of Chaoshan Nan'ao Island. The tomb faces south and north, facing Qing'ao Township, and a few hundred meters southeast of it is the Qing'ao Tomb. Qing'ao Bay is known as the sea bathing resort of Oriental Hawaii.
Lu Xiufu (1236-1279), courtesy name Junshi, was a native of Yancheng, Jiangsu Province in the Southern Song Dynasty. He was a Jinshi scholar with Wen Tianxiang in the fourth year of Baohu (1256), Emperor Lizong of the Song Dynasty. He was a bachelor of Duanming Palace and a member of the Privy Council. He was demoted due to disagreements with Prime Minister Chen Yizhong and his family moved to Piwang Port in Chenghai. At that time, the Yuan soldiers invaded, Song Jing Lin'an fell, the royal family fled south in panic, and the country was facing a national crisis. Lu Xiufu resolutely responded to the call. He protected the emperor and traveled across Guangdong and persisted in resisting the Yuan Dynasty. On the sixth day of February in the second year of Xiangxing (1279), the navy of the Yuan army defeated the defenders on the Yamen Sea. With pursuers behind him and the sea in front of him, Lu Xiufu first drove his wife and children into the sea with his sword, then carried the young emperor on his back and threw himself into the sea. He would rather die than surrender. With his righteousness, he wrote a tragic epic. The Southern Song Dynasty The dynasty ended.
