Introduction to the One Pillar Temple in Vietnam: The One Pillar Temple is located southwest of Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was built in 1049 by Emperor Taizong of the Li Dynasty. It was named after it was built on a large stone pillar in the Linh Marsh Pond. The One Pillar Pagoda has a unique and ingenious appearance. It is a square wooden building with a length of 3 meters on each side and a height of 4 meters. The bottom is supported by a stone pillar with a diameter of 1.25 meters. It is exposed on the water surface of Linh Marsh Pond in Hanoi. The stone pillars are like flower stalks and the wooden supports on the top of the pillars. It resembles the calyx of a flower, and the hall with corridors and eaves resemble petals, like a water lotus, so it is also called the Lotus Terrace.
