Introduction to Guo Moruo's former residence: Guo Moruo's former residence is located on the west bank of Qianhai, Shichahai, Beijing, at No. 18 Qianhai West Street. It was formerly the palace garden of Heshen in the Qing Dynasty. The memorial hall covers an area of 7,000 square meters. The gold-lettered plaque hanging above the gate is "Former Residence of Guo Moruo" inscribed by Deng Yingchao.
Guo Moruo moved here from No. 5 Xisi Courtyard Hutong in November 1963 and spent the last 15 years of his life here.
