Introduction to Shouming Temple: The old site of Shouming Temple is located on Gulou West Street. The year of its construction is unknown. It was rebuilt three times in the sixth year of Shun tomorrow (1462), the fourth year of Hongzhi (1491) and the eighth year of Zhengde (1513). The temple faces south from the north, with 3 mountain gates on the central axis; 3 front halls, 3 east and west auxiliary halls; 3 central halls with a balconies at the back; in front of the hall there is a stele for the reconstruction of Shouming Temple built in the 8th year of Zhengde's reign, and 3 east and west auxiliary halls. There are 5 apse halls, 5 front halls, and 3 east and west auxiliary halls. Most of the buildings in the temple are well preserved, with a total of 33 cultural relics buildings and a construction area of ​​879 square meters.
Shouming Temple is now used by the Xicheng District Housing Authority Staff School. The original inscriptions have been transported to the Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum for preservation and are a cultural relic protection unit in Xicheng District.
