Introduction to Golden Street: 40 years ago, this street next to Kabukicho was where writers, poets, film industry professionals and other literary and artistic people gathered to have fun. In 1976, it attracted much attention because writers Ryuzo Sagi and Kenji Nakagami, who often appeared here, won two literary awards, the Akutagawa Prize and the Naoki Prize respectively. As times change, there are still many old shops on the street, filled with a subtle smell of old and new.
