Introduction to Fushou Bridge: Also known as Batou Bridge, it is a wooden arch bridge. There are less than 200 existing covered bridges in the world. They are basically concentrated in the mountainous areas of southern Zhejiang and eastern and northern Fujian. Fushou Bridge is One of them.
The Fushou Bridge was built in an ominous year. The current bridge was built in the 19th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1814) and repaired in the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930). The bridge is 40.7 meters long, 4.9 meters wide, and has a single arch span of 32.8 meters. The bridge arch is made of dozens of huge beams interspersed and stacked. The bridge deck is covered with a double-slope roof gallery, and the roof truss is a four-column and nine-purlin bucket-type structure. , 18 bays, 76 columns. There are two rows of wooden benches on both sides of the corridor house for pedestrians to rest. There are five rows of ladder-style weatherboards under the eaves on both sides. There is a bridge pavilion built at the north end of the bridge, called Jiguang Pavilion.
