Introduction to the heart-testing stone: The heart-testing stone is located at the most prominent part of the cliff on the main peak on the right side of the chessboard stone. It is connected to the cliff by a line and is suspended in the air on three sides. If someone stands on it, the sound of "begging for the valley" will be made. It was originally the place where the eminent monks of Baoshan Zen Temple cultivated their mind and enlightenment; it was also the place where the stubborn monks thought about their mistakes and gained enlightenment. Legend has it that only those who are sincere, kind-hearted, and repentant can ascend safely.
