Introduction to Mahao Cliff Tomb: Mahao Cliff Tomb is located on the east bank of the overflow river between Lingyun and Wuyou Mountains. Mahao is its place name. Cliff tombs are a form of tombs popular in Leshan during the Han Dynasty that resemble human-like residences and are carved into mountains. They are characterized by artificially cutting square caves along the sandy rock formations of shallow hills and valleys, and then burying the remains and funerary objects.
