Introduction to Zhongfeng Temple: Zhongfeng Temple is one of the ancient temples in Mount Emei. It was a Taoist temple in the Jin Dynasty and was called Qianming Temple. During the Northern Wei Dynasty, Monk Mingguo was successful in subduing pythons. The Taoist priests in the temple learned Buddhism from his master, and then it was converted into a temple. Because the temple is located under the middle peak of Baiyan, it was named Zhongfeng Temple. In view of the frequent fires on the mountain, Zen Master Huitong during the reign of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty renamed Jiyun Temple using the method of "three clouds and two waters". In the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Zhongfeng Yuan, and in the Ming Dynasty, it was also called Zhongfeng Temple. It was destroyed by fire in the Jiashen year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1644). There are currently two wooden temples and two temples. Most of the front hall is the Puxian Pavilion of the Ming Dynasty. The only relics from the Song Dynasty are a pair of stone lions. There is a strange stone in the forest behind the temple called "realgar stone". It is said that Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty sent realgar to Sun Simiao.
