Introduction to Greene Library: Not far behind the bookstore are the locations of Greene Library and Meyer Library. The student tour guide told us that Stanford has more than a dozen large and small libraries distributed throughout the campus, and the Green Library is the main library of Stanford University, which mainly collects books on the humanities. The Meyer Library is a multimedia library, and its underground floor collects government documents for people to review. Taken together, Stanford University's large and small libraries store more than 5.5 million books, 310 volumes of microfilm, 5,000 periodicals and 200,000 audio tapes. In the Greene Library, the manuscripts of Martin Luther, Newton, William Yates and John Steinbeck are particularly valuable.
