Introduction to the Drum Tower: To the west of the Royal Stele Pavilion is the Drum Tower. Inside the building is a large drum nearly 5 feet in diameter, with dragon bells and tiger rings, and the sound of the drum is deep. When Emperor Qianlong stayed in this temple, he rang bells, drums, and played music on both sides to welcome the emperor with the highest etiquette.
