Introduction to Fang Yi’s original office status: Fang Yi (1916-1997), a native of Xiamen, Fujian, served as vice chairman of the Border Region Government. He once participated in leading the army and people of Huainan to smash the "mopping up" by the Japanese and puppet troops and counterattack the provocative attacks of the Kuomintang die-hards. He also led the political, financial and economic, cultural and educational construction of the Huainan Anti-Japanese Base Area and the training of local cadres. He is a proven and loyal communist fighter, proletarian revolutionary and former Vice Premier of the State Council.
