Introduction to the Lingxing Gate: The Lingxing Gate was created during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. It is made of bluestone, has seven conjoined bays, is in the style of a cupola, and has clouds, dragons and floral patterns. It is currently the largest and most exquisite Lingxing Gate in domestic Confucian temples. The original Lingxing Gate was the second gate of Suzhou Confucian Temple. In front of Dacheng Gate, it was damaged during the Cultural Revolution and was moved to its current location in 1982 for protection purposes.
