Introduction to Qixing Pool: Qixing Pool was built in the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369) and rebuilt by Chen Min, the censor of the Ming Dynasty in the second year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty (1427). It was rebuilt during the Kangxi and Qianlong years, and a Seven Star Bridge (seven holes) was built over the pond. The bridge is 35 meters long and 3.10 meters wide. The seven holes symbolize the difficulties in achieving the seven levels of imperial examination (the four examinations before entering the government plus the subsequent provincial examination, joint examination and palace examination) and the glory and wealth after passing the imperial examination, which is rarely seen in other Confucius temples.
