Introduction to the Beijia Ancestral Hall: The museum was established on the basis of the typical ancient building of the Qing Dynasty - the Beijia Ancestral Hall and some residences. The Pei family was a famous businessman during the Republic of China, and the "Pigment King" Pei Runsheng was the great-uncle of the famous architect Ieoh Ming Pei. This ancestral hall was purchased by Bei Runsheng in 1917 and covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters. Now, it is both a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province and was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2000.
